Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie survival RPG that asks one blunt question: how will you die? Set in a vast, sandbox world, it puts you alone or in multiplayer against an outbreak that never lets up. To last even a few days you have to loot abandoned buildings, build and fortify shelters, craft tools and weapons, fight off the undead, and even farm and fish to keep yourself fed. A deep, hardcore RPG skill system means your character improves at the things you actually do, while the massively customisable sandbox lets you tune everything from population density to loot rarity. There is a cute tutorial raccoon to ease you in, but make no mistake: Project Zomboid is unforgiving, and all it takes is a single bite to undo hours of progress.
